Cupcake designing!

Some Spaghetti and Meatballs (noodles = piped frosting, meatballs = ferrer rocher chocolates, sauce = strawberry jam, parmesan = shaved white chocolate)

Turkey place settings for thanksgiving (made with help from Welshie boys!)

Cupcakes to celebrate friend getting U.S. citizenship!

I bought a really cool cupcake decorating book called "Hello Cupcake!" at powells last year and since then, we've also made christmas tree and snowmen cupcakes, christmas light and christmas ornament cupcakes and cupcakes decorated like pool balls, I just don't know where the pictures for those ones are! :)

The Worst Day of the Year ride!!!

Portland has a number of fun rides throughout the year, and on February 15th, statistically the rainiest day of the year, is the "Worst Day of the Year Ride." We took part this year and here are a few of our photos. (funny side note -- this was the 8th annual ride, and since they've started it has NEVER rained on the day of the ride!!! Not that we're complaining!)

This is the Community Cycling Center (funds raised by the ride go to them!). They do tons of awesome stuff, including teaching kids how to be safe riders, they run a program where low income individuals can earn bikes, and one of my favorites is a stealth "get lit" program where they go out at dusk and equip unlit cyclists with front and rear lights! Awesome!

Lots of people dress up for the ride. Here is my favorite, the Blazer bike, with various Trailblazer bobble heads on the back!

Another good example of the costumes, crazy girl with chicken on her helmet and superman-like underwear! 18 miles goes pretty fast when you're laughing at all the costumes and you have rest stops with hot chocolate and cookies! :)

We've been doing things, just not blogging things...

A few pics from a family trip to the Oregon coast Aquarium

Jellies!

Kenzie checking out some fishies and becoming part of an exhibit.

Puffin friend!

Genaro converses with the ginormous crabs -- they look straight out of the movie Alien, and they would follow people and LOOK at you. If not for that thick glass, I'm pretty sure they would attach to your face and soon a mini alien would burst from your stomach.
